Central Aviation Tracking
Weather is most useful when it stays connected to the traffic picture. CAT places aviation weather context directly alongside the aircraft map.
Bring weather context onto the same map used for aircraft tracking.
Compare precipitation areas with the traffic picture without moving between separate tools.
Keep weather optional and combine it with the map layers that matter for your current view.
CAT places NOAA/NWS observed precipitation radar alongside aircraft activity and provides available METAR observations and TAF forecasts through AviationWeather.gov. Enable weather layers when you want them; missing data is shown as unavailable. Higher-quality weather is coming to Premium as a planned update, not a current paid benefit.
A radar image and an aircraft trail can have different timestamps. Radar gaps do not mean an area is clear, and a position shown near weather does not establish what a crew is experiencing. CAT does not provide a certified route-weather assessment or replace a preflight briefing.
For aviation operations use current official weather, NOTAMs, charts and required briefing sources. CAT is for information only. Read the safety limitations.
